Stash Builders Box

Hi friends, Subscription boxes are all the rage right now, I subscribe to a few beauty and crafty ones myself, and today I wanted to share one that is not only packed with amazing goodies, it also helps out the community.

The Stash Builder Box, a sewing / quilting subscription box created by Amanda Kelly does just that. 20% of the proceeds from every single box sale goes towards making a quilt for a child in need. You can also get involved directly in the quilt making process, the Heart Builders program is made up of volunteers who help their cause.

After speaking to Amanda online, she was generous enough to send a June box so that I could share with you all some of the amazing things the monthly service has to offer!

It really was like opening a beautiful gift, the packaging was perfection and inside were an assortment of things I feel like I will actually use and enjoy.

One of the first things I noticed was a cute little drawstring bag, inside the bag was a quirky little pencil "Keep calm & get the seam ripper",  two bobbin holders, some Aurifil thread in a color I just adore, a pin, and a fun little quote card that will look awesome on my inspiration board in my sewing space.

Next up we have three fat quarters of fabric I know I will use. Mailing surprise fabric to a large group of people can be kind of a hit or miss, but I feel like this modern pairing is a fantastic stash builder and is going to look pretty cute on my couch....more on that in a minute :)

Not one but two patterns were included in this box - a stash block of the month / Indian Hatchet and a Scrappy Litter Box pattern by Lillyella Stitchery! How cute are all of those scrappy kitties?!

After putting away all of my new notions and thread, I decided I wasn't quite done with that fabric yet. I love the block of the month and decided the fabrics included would look pretty cute in an Indian Hatchet pattern so I went to work!

I connected four of the blocks and created an 18" x 18" square that I plan on finishing out as a pillow for my new black couch, won't that be fun for summer?

I hope you all enjoyed getting a sneak peek at this month's Stash Builder Box, and I invite you all to use the following discount code for $3 off your first month's box!

A huge thank you to Amanda who sent me this first box, I loved the happy mail day and how great the idea of helping out those in the community is.

Thanks for stopping by today friends!
