Four Corners Fabric Tour
Hi friends! I am so excited to share with you today a beautiful line of fabrics I had the pleasure of creating something with - Four Corners by Simple Simon and Co. for Riley Blake. This line has the perfect combination of black and white (my favorite) along with a perfect gray, a bright mustard yellow, a beautiful teal blue and a great shade of orange! There are also pops of metallic gold - so fun!
The great thing about being able to show you a project from this line is that you do not have to wait to buy it - it's available now! I received a beautiful fat quarter bundle from Liz and Elizabeth from Simple Simon and Co. and was able to create a beautiful quilt and still have some awesome scraps left over I plan on using on some pillows to match.
This quilt was a quick sketch on graph paper while watching cartoons with my son one night. The main strips measure 2.5" x 8.5" and the alternating strips at the top and bottom vary in length (2.5" / 4.5" /6.5" ). Once it was all laid out it was a quick sew and for the quilting I did a simple straight stitch along each side of the seam.
(I still need to add the binding to the quilt, I ran out of time before I left for quilt market today...oops! )
I took some pictures of the quilt out in my neighborhood yesterday, Fall in Chicago is pretty amazing especially when you have trees that are a perfect match to the fabric!
I loved working with this line, the colors truly made me happy and any chance I have to use a fun black and white line, I take it! Hope you enjoyed my stop on the Four Corners Tour today and be sure to check out all of the other fun projects on the schedule.
Thanks for stopping by today friends!
