I am excited to share a new quilt I created - the A to Z Quilt.
This is a new design I hope to make more of - perfect combination of modern, simple and useful as it makes a great wall hanging after your child has outgrown the size.
I used my Sizzix Alphabet set that I just came in the mail this month and it was a breeze cutting out the letters that would normally take much longer by hand. The letters measure 3.5" tall and are an amazing clean font. You can easily make the letters by cutting out letters on another device like a cricut - or fuse heat n bond to fabric and trace/cut letters by hand afterwards.
All of the solids are Kona solids (Snow and Black) and the backing is a fun black, cream and gray triangle print from Art Gallery Fabrics. Each letter was applied to the quilt using Heat n bond lite and carefully machine appliquéd using black Aurifil thread.
