Quilt Market // Fall 2014 Wrap-up
Hi friends, Today I am sharing a wrap-up of the remaining Fall Quilt Market photos that I took. Thank you for all of your fun comments and I hope that you have enjoyed the tour as I was trying to make it feel like you were there getting to see all of these amazing new lines and work created by so many talented people in person! I was very fortunate to be able to attend the market this year, credentials are tougher and it can be quite an expensive journey. Luckily I can non-rev flying there so that makes a big difference and also having online friends that are kind enough to split hotel rooms was very very helpful as well. It is amazing with this sewing community how down to earth everyone is. People you look up to on a daily basis are so real to meet in person - no matter how terrified you thought you would be to walk up and chat face to face. Thank you again to everyone who allowed me to wander around their booths taking awkward photos, I love that I am able to share your talent with all of my readers.
Now for the photos! Apologies on some of the images, I meant to write down all of the information but it honestly was a whirlwind and there were so many images to look through, if I do not label anything please let me know and I will edit - thank you!!
First up is Andover Fabrics, loved seeing all of the AG Handcrafted and pearl bracelet colors! I took many more of this section but sadly lost a few to shaky hand syndrome...that unfortunately got some of my best images. I also had the chance to sit in on the Downton Abbey schoolhouse and cannot tell you how awesome the new Egyptian line is...the quilt that was shown was stunning!
Birch fabrics had the most delightful Charley Harper fabric display. I am still hoarding my collection of this from last year...but oh goodness, how great are the new colors and illustrations?!
Jen Kingwell Designs had an amazing booth as well, you could spend all day just looking at all of the different fabrics used and her intricate patterns - just stunning in person!
I had to drop by Silhouette America's booth and check out some of the awesome applique work that was created for the show and the new CAMEO machine. In particular one from my friend Jessee, of Art School Dropout stood out, I just LOVE this!!!
Beautiful work by Ella Blue, I have been keeping up with her new fabrics and projects on Instagram so it was a real treat to see everything in person!
This stunner by Sew Demented...definitely a favorite at market.
Over at the Sizzix booth I finally had the chance to meet Linda who I speak to on occasion ( I do design work for the Sizzix Blog) and loved seeing all of the awesome new dies, including some organizational ones I will be talking about a lot in the future.
How adorable is Elizabeth Olwen?! I have been following her on Instagram ever since I made a pillow using her fabrics earlier in the year and just love everything that she does, including some pretty amazing quilts that she had in her space over at Cloud 9.
Alexander Henry's booth was as fun as their fabric lines...and I believe they won best booth?! How could they not with this amazing camping scene.
Also over at Moda was a favorite of mine - Zen Chic!
Over at Therm o Web were some fun projects - I loved getting to see some of my co-designers projects in person!
The Kokka fabric booth was a little overwhelming...so many fabrics. I mean...so many, where do you even begin! The color was insane!
Some great text fabrics from Suzuko Koseki. I love how the pieces of fabric were sewn onto the quilt below, what an amazing idea!
There are some fun new books from C&T Publishing, I am very excited to try out the new material kraft-tex, think jean labels ... so many cool uses!
Whew, that brings back memories of sore feet walking around all day! Hope you all enjoyed the Fall Quilt Market tour and see below for the other posts, enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by friends!
