Fabric Flowers & A Giveaway!
Hi friends! I have been so busy sewing up a storm this week and haven't had time to share...unless you are on instagram (you got some sneak peeks).
I will be sharing my big project here with you soon but for now I have a couple of smaller fabric projects that I made this week.
The first are a few floral blocks that I made for a friend that is making a larger flower applique quilt, figured this would be a great chance to try out the CAMEO and see how easy it is and cut out some flowers quickly for my project.
I dug through my fabric stash and found some bright and cheerful fabrics from Art Gallery, Dear Stella and Timeless Treasures - they fit together so nicely!
The Silhouette CAMEO was very easy to set up, and you are instantly given some fun designs to cut with. The Silhouette Online Store is so large you can literally find designs for whatever you are working on. I needed some floral shapes so I decided on Build a Garden - 4 Flowers and Leaves and Berries.
These were so much fun to layer the flower designs with the different fabrics!
You know what happens when you start finding cute designs...you cut them out! I just had to try out these adorable ice cream shapes - aren't they fun?!
These patterns are available in the Silhouette Online Store and are a very inexpensive way to make a cute shirt or some fun summery pillows for your home.
The patterns used above are - 3 Lori Whitlock Popsicles & Ice Cream Cone, add as many scoops as you want!
If you follow along on Instagram I have a special treat for you, the above ice cream cut outs featuring Dear Stella's fun line Savannah! Leave a comment on Instagram letting me know what your favorite ice cream flavor is by Sunday night at 10pm central - I'll choose a winner Monday morning. Just look for the picture of the frozen treats - good luck and I hope you win the cutouts!
