WIP Wednesday: Architextures St. Louis 16 Patch
Hi friends! Today I am sharing a work in progress - my Architextures St. Louis 16 Patch. The St. Louis 16 patch was pretty popular on Instagram when I first started this quilt - which was also the time Architextures first came out....it is rather dusty to say the least. I instantly fell in love with this fabric line by Carolyn Friedlander first off because it is gorgeous, second because I wanted to make my husband a quilt, he is an Architect - so it was destiny!
The St. Louis 16 Patch is super quick and makes for a very traditional patchwork quilt style - which I love paired with modern fabrics. Steffani over at Sew with Sass has an awesome tutorial showing you how to make the quick blocks. I love that the piecing is large and doesn't take away from the pattern of the fabric. Pairing the fabrics up with similar colors was also fun and easy to do with the Architexures line.
Here are some pictures of the finished quilt top - I stuck with a nice and cozy lap quilt size to drape on our couch in the living room. Also making an appearance is my sidekick Superman!
