Hexies are now one of my most favorite items to sew, they are perfect little treat to work on when you have a few minutes to yourself and don't want to work at your sewing machine. They are also THE best traveling project! I am a flight attendant for my paying gig and I have made many a Hexie at 36,000 ft above the ground.
I had so many ideas on what I wanted to make but narrowed it down to a quick and easy project that you can make for yourself or a nice gift - the Easy Hexie Pillow.
I call this the Easy Hexie Pillow because the hardest part (to me) about Hexagons is sewing them together. This eliminates that all together, and you know what, I love the way it looks :)
This pillow cover was created using a basic cream quilting fabric and a fun mini charm pack of Midwinter Reds by Minick & Simpson for Moda Fabrics. Amanda over at Westwood Acres sent this along with an order I placed with her....BTW people, her fabric collection is just as awesome as she is!
I forgot to mention, I made this for one of you! If you like this pillow cover and would like to give it a good home just leave me a comment saying hello and I will enter you in the drawing. The drawing will close at the end of the day // central time zone // on August 28th.
Here are some more pictures of some past Hexagon projects to add to the Hexagon fun today!
Thank you so much for stopping by, and if you would like to follow along with my future projects you can find me here on bloglovin'.
