WIP Wednesday: Hexagon Flowers

Made it into Indiana late last night and woke up to a beautiful day! I love visiting my in-laws. We get to see family and Grey gets to run around in grass!

Still working away on these Hexagon flowers that I started a while ago using the scraps from my Japanese X and Plus Quilt I finished recently. I hated to throw away scraps of my Essex fabric so I just sewed the HST together and they were the perfect size for the hexagon templates I had. Sewing these together takes a little longer because of the thicker fabric and the thickness where the two fabrics are sewn together. I think they look lovely and make such a fun flower!

I think I am going to make enough for some pillows that I can place beside my finished quilt.

Linking up with "WIP Wednesdays" over at Freshly Pieced. A little late in the day to do so, but better late than never!

This week I will be posting several pics of my son hopefully enjoying a swimming pool, just a warning :)

P.s. enjoy the pictures of my mother in-laws flowers…because I sure am!

Thanks for stopping by!
