Wintery Mix & a Denim Quilt

Woke up this morning to a winter wonderland in N. Chicago!

So lucky I get to stay inside all day and hang out with my little guy.

Several works in progress right now, the main one being my “skinny jeans” quilt.

This one is made from many many pairs of pre-pregnancy jeans and during my “nesting phase” of get rid of everything I decided to cut them all up.

The quilt top measures around 4 ft by 6.5 ft and is terribly heavy. I’m still trying to figure out what backing I would like to use. I have several yards of some dark denim that is light weight, but it might put a strain on my sewing machine and my patience quilting it all together!

My photography assistant helped me take some pictures this morning.

Had to also take some pictures of a new fabric bundle that arrived the other day!
